Winter at the Shipyard

The yard is quiet now

Fat powerboats resting on stands

Sleek sailboats leaning forward

Ready to leap or glide into the cold, green waters.

Ice and snow cover varnish and paint

Working black magic that must be undone

Next spring and summer.

Owners drive down to visit.

Sipping coffee in their cars and trucks

Staring at the harbor, then back to their dreams

Every man that doesn’t own one, wants one,

Every man that has one, says don’t get one.

Nothing will stop the dreamers, the boaters,

Except the ice and snow of winter.

The Real Truth

I wonder how many people tell the TRUTH on these blogs?

More on that subject later.
